Rachid Saadane received the B.S. (2001) and M.S. (2003) from Mohammed V University and his Ph.D. (2007) from Mohammed V University jointly with Eurecom Institute. He is currently a full professor in the department of electrical engineering at the Hassania School of Public Works (EHTP). From March 2003 through July 2006, he worked for Eurecom Institute, France, where he developed a framework for UWB channel characterization and modeling as a research engineer. His research interests include wireless communication systems (6G, 5G, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces, massive MIMO, SC-FDMA, OFDM, dynamic spectrum detection and cognitive radio), big data, recommender systems, artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, signal and image processing for smart healthcare, estimation theory, and smart city / smart agriculture / smart farming applications. He has also worked on reliability for UWB communication systems. He currently serves as Deputy Director in charge of research, cooperation and partnership at EHTP.
